West Virginia Festival If you are interested in performing at the Hogging Up WV Festival located in Great Cacapon, WV, at Cox Camping, on October 24-25th, here’s what you need to know.

WE WANT UNDISCOVERED PERFORMERS and SUPPORT LOCAL TALENT

FOR 2014 PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO OLD TIME APPALACHIAN MUSIC

BANJO, FIDDLE, TWANGY MUSIC? WE WANT YOU!

We want your Uncle Stu who picks his banjo like a rock star but has never thought he was good enough to play anywhere. We want Aunt Jean who plays a mean fiddle and hasn’t ever taken it seriously. Record ’em and send him to us.  We are looking for Old Time Appalachian Music.  People who can fiddle on a porch (this one) and get some people’s boots stomping.  The music will be piped wireless through a gorgeous camp setting, literally.  Country performers are welcome too, so long as don’t mind taking your guitar with you and walking around singing. Yes, that’s what we want.

You don’t need to be a national act or have a huge resume to apply to us, send us your “Press Kit” to this email which is really only this:

  • Contact Info
  • Sample of Music (Youtube, SoundCloud, etc.)
  • Website or Facebook (you don’t have to have one.)
  • Rates *

*This is a first year event.  We aren’t hiring you if your rate is astronomical so don’t waste our time or yours applying.  We work hard to promote you, and give you good press on our Facebook page, website and even the promoter’s Twitter account.  We want small time talent not big national acts.  Although we love music our gate rates can’t warrant larger more expensive acts. We will be looking for acts that are playing for inexpensive or free, and want to discover those undisovered gems hiding somewhere in the mountains. This is a great opportunity for Aunt Jean or Uncle Stu to be a star for a day.

Again, we are looking for Old Tyme music, and Country Music performers.

Apply here.
